Participants

The following information is for those participating in the ceremony.

Candle Lighters

Candle lighters are members of the Georgia Tech community that have been identified by the Office of the Dean of Students as someone that was important to the Honoree during his or her time at Tech. The candle lighter processes with the family members and lights the candle that symbolizes our remembrance of the Honoree. Upon returning to their seats, the candle lighter delivers the Institute's gift of appreciation for service to the family. candle lighters should arrive at the Success Center by 5:00 pm.

Family Members

If you plan to attend as a family member of someone being honored at the ceremony, please RSVP so we can plan for the number of people attending. Check-in will begin at the Bill Moore Success Center at 5:00 pm. Light refreshments will be available. You will be hosted and accompanied in the procession by a ROTC Cadet and the selected candle lighter.

Ceremony Participants

Cadet escorts and the Honor Guard will arrive on site at 4:30 pm. All other ceremony participants, with the exception of the family, candle lighters and dignitaries will meet at 5:00 pm on the Tech Lawn to review their assignments and the protocol for the event.

Others

When the Whistle Blows will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at 6:00 pm at the Tech Tower Lawn. We hope to see you there!
